National Honor Society Students Organize Blood Drive

Monty Tech seniors Sophia Howard of Barre and Reilly Laitala of Sterling are meeting an urgent community need with their National Honor Society service project. Howard and Laitala, students in Monty Tech's health occupations program, noted the impact of a nationwide blood shortage while working on co-op at a local hospital. As a result, they have worked with Mass General's Blood Donor Center to organize a blood drive at Monty Tech.

The drive is scheduled for Saturday, May 14, and individuals can make an appointment online at http://bit.ly/MGHMonty. All donors must bring a photo ID with birthdate to their appointment.
